This is a very nice chest. I bought it to store a rather large pool. The look is deceptive in the photos and when it arrives in the box, you might think "Hmmm, it that going to be big enough?" But once you assemble it your going to be very happy. It has a weave pattern that is very nice. You cannot believe how easy it is to assemble.I’ve had this now for 10 years and it is still looking pretty good. It has been waterproof and hasn’t had any issues except the lid straps that stop the lid from flopping backwards broke eventually. This is not an issue for me since I have it against the deck railing. Very satisfied with its durability.Great storage. Easy to assemble. Totally rain proof. It was super easy to assemble, which I found entirely stress-free, and is a perfect fit for the cushions for the 6 chairs around our patio table (which are (21.5x23.5)x6 and (22x22)x6, and all about 3.5" thick). The lid *clicks* closed quite firmly, creating great protection from the elements. And it's design makes it an attractive addition to our deck.I was worried this might be a creamy white but happily it is a bright white! Assembly took me 2 cups of coffee. A little awkward alone - especially the lid, but I'm 67 and it was quite do-able. I live in a small condo with little storage. This easily fits all my towels, sheets and guest bedding so I have them all in one place. Very happy with it!If you are expecting this box to be bug- or spider-proof, it is not, so I would avoid using it to store cushions. There are openings near the handles that let EVERYTHING in. There would be fewer critters on my cushions if I had left them on the ground for several months. I found a moth cocoon, several large spiders and tons and tons of cobwebs all over the inside of the box, which makes me want to burn everything inside. I would highly recommend this box if you were looking to expand your spider collection, but if not, keep looking.Bought this as it was a match to one we had purchased at Costco last year. Was disappointed to find when we put it together that, although it looks identical this one is not a good. My other one has a locking handle and uses gas struts to open the lid. This one has no handle and cheap plastic straps to keep the lid from opening to far. Other then that the quality is the same. Oh well we will have to live with it as Costco does not sell these any longer.I like the chest but I do find that it doesn’t always want to close properly. There are plastic straps on either side, at the top and close to the edge. These interfere with the closing. Also, after I purchased the chest and had used it (so too late to return) I found the exact same one at CTC for $40.00 LESS. Big difference in price.
