I bought this product to fix cracks in my homemade concrete block pool. Which I will add I’ve had to do each year for 4 years straight because all products I’ve tried didn’t work & or hold up so My pool keeps leaking which can be costly in both water loss and pool chemicals. To use I gouged out each crack using a concrete sanding rotary blade to 1/4” deep & wide. I poured alcohol in the cracks to rinse out any debris...I used this because it dries quickly. I Mixed the 2 part product which takes a little time and a lot of hand strength as it’s a bit dry & not extremely pliable but as you work with it the heat of your hands softens it some. I don’t recommend mixing any bigger than 2” of each putty at a time, it mixes together in about 10 min. I Used heavy rubber gloves & a metal flat surface to knead them together till one color. The directions say to use gloves to push into the cracks but the gloves just kept sticking to the putty and pulling it back out. I finally just used my bare fingers to push the putty into the cracks and smoothing it out by pushing & pressing in an upward motion using small pieces I pulled off the blob I mixed. I purchased 3 packages as I had a lot of cracks but found that a little goes a long way, I still have 2 unused paks left. After drying a few days I sanded the putty down smooth to the pool surface and it held! It didn’t break up & fall out and easily sanded quickly with my rotary sander with course sand paper disk. All other products I’ve tried never passed this test. This bonded with the concrete block really well. I haven’t filled the pool yet, that will be the final test. If the pool doesn’t leak as I believe it won’t this time I will be jumping for joy...well I’ll be excited I’m a sixty year old woman so although pretty fit I don’t do a lot of jumping any more...lolA last note: make sure to wash your hands well that were exposed to the putty. I used a finger nail brush to scrub with soap & water. Especially scrub the fingers you used to press the putty into the cracks & get under your nails well. Even doing this my skin began to dry & peel off after about a week or so later on my thumb & fore fingers which is what I primarily used. It didn’t hurt or burn at the time I worked the putty into the cracks nor when they peeled. except for a little soreness from the sheer work of pressing & smoothing the putty into the cracks. If this lets me I will update my review after filling my pool. I still have to repaint so it will be awhile.
